I plan to start at a weird place for most people. Most people start their journey at the beginning of the bible. Me? Well, I’ve been there before. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, etc. I’ve read through, taught it and yet I still feel like I’m missing something. I watched a sermon where the pastor said that the story of the bible and the plan of salvation is reflected in the sanctuary.
The sanctuary? That building they created in Exodus?
Yep.
It’s not the first time I’ve heard it talked about in regards to Jesus and everything; my own mother did a sanctuary study but at the time I felt I knew enough. And I mean we, in modern times, don’t do sacrifices or wear priestly garments anymore. So it seemed like yes, a thing in the bible but, I mean how relevant is it now?
Right?
Right…?
Okay, so I’m starting with the sanctuary. Whether it’s outdated or not I think it’s about time I investigated this thing myself. What is it that I, personally, can glean from it. Not just what my mother found, or the pastors chat about but what does a lost sheep like me come across in this journey through the wilderness.
To clarify I will be following a structured lesson rather loosely from adventist connect. Their sanctuary study. And I’ll be going through my thoughts and finding and all that in between.
